A Class-1000 Modular Lab is a cleanroom facility designed to maintain highly controlled air quality by minimizing pollutants such as dust, microbes, aerosol particles, and chemical vapors. Cleanrooms are classified based on the number of particles permitted per cubic foot of air. For example, a Class-1000 cleanroom allows a maximum of 1,000 particles (0.5 microns or larger) per cubic foot of air, making it suitable for advanced scientific and medical applications.
Cleanrooms provide a contamination-free environment critical for laboratory research, medical facilities, and biotechnology. Compared to an average city environment that contains nearly 35 million particles per cubic meter (ISO 9 cleanroom standard), Class-1000 facilities are far more refined and reliable for precision work.
Cleanrooms are classified into categories like Class 100, Class 1000, etc., based on the permissible number of particles in the air. Lower class numbers indicate stricter contamination control.
According to ISO standards, cleanrooms have three different statuses depending on their operational phase:
Class-1000 cleanrooms offer a balance between high cleanliness and practicality for laboratories and medical environments. They provide consistent particulate control during all stages—from construction and installation to full operation—ensuring a reliable environment for sensitive research and clinical work.
